A Potential Tribute Problem?

Sometimes, you will see an episode dedicated to someone who once worked on the show or had some sort of relationship to it or the franchise as a whole. This episode is typically always just the next one that is made or aired after their death. Is that a problem? I think that it could be.

You might wonder, how is that a problem? Well, the problem is obviously not that there is a tribute for this person. The problem is that they should be doing a specially made episode dedicated for them. It can be any normal episode that would work and best make sense of the type of character that they played on the show in question or something special about them. Just tacking something like this on what is just the next episode that will air seems kind of dumb in a way. This isn’t something special for them or an honor of them. This is just some random episode with no meaning other than timing alone. There should be more to it than that.

Of course, as the question mark in the title of this post means, maybe this isn’t an issue for people at all. Maybe they do like a tribute being done. There are plenty of shows that don’t make tributes. Something could be better than nothing, after all, right? Do you think that this is a problem? Don’t you think that there should be more in an episode dedicated to a person than just when the episode aired in relation to when the person it is dedicated for died? You should do something special. There is plenty of time for there to be something they could make for this person. Otherwise, what is supposed to be a tribute comes off more as indifference.
