Midseason Shows 2020 Part 2

At one point, I thought that there might not even be a part two to the midseason since nearly all that I might care about didn’t seem to be premiering when I thought it would be. I also thought about having just one show in this, but decided that I might as well watch a second one when it worked out. All of the new shows that I want to watch and hopefully will be able to watch start watching will premiere in the summer if they make it to the airwaves soon at all. Enjoy these brief reviews.

Broke: Show Description: A single mother has to deal with some of her former rich family members moving in after they lose their money. Behind the Scenes- Pauley Perrette from NCIS is the lead of this show. Jamie Camill from Jane the Virgin plays another character. It currently replaces Carol’s Second Act, although that show might be back at some point in time. My Thoughts- Some of the acting can seem off. The plot can be improved on. But it seems like it is good enough of a show if you have no other commitments at the time. Long Term Prospects- This might last if pilots are more doomed than they could normally be. It might not if things go back to normal soon. Where to Find- On CBS at 9:30/8:30 Central on Thursdays

Council of Dads: Show Description- Before dying of cancer, a man creates a group of friends to be a council of dads to his children. Behind the Scenes: Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along. My Thoughts- It can seem similar in parts to Parenthood and other shows like it. Parts of it can move too quickly while other parts move to slowly. Still, it has a great idea and has a lot of potential to it. Long Term Prospects- I’d put this at a toss-up for now. Maybe even the network won’t know for quite a while what to do with it and whether or not it will last. Where to Find- On NBC at 8/7 Central on Thursdays
