Notes on the Upcoming FOX Schedule: 2020 Version

While I don’t know yet for sure what of the schedule is going on for sure, I do know that it seems like the schedule will be different this coming season. I will be keeping track of what is still announced as the schedule for the upcoming season.

As you can already guess given the biggest news story of the year, know that there is some unusualness due to coronavirus of the schedule going on this season. Most of what would normally be on right away is not on right away outside of the animated shows. I do hope that they have a contingency plan in place in case the football season gets cancelled early.

Let’s start with the new shows replacing old shows. LA’s Finest is replacing 9-1-1. Next (the name of a TV show) is replacing Prodigal Son. Cosmos: Possible Worlds is replacing The Resident. Filthy Rich is going to replace Empire. Outside of Empire, all of the shows are returning at some point in time in the future. I won’t yet know what’s replacing Deputy or Outmatched.

Let’s get to what the normal fall schedule is and what is still there before we get to the next thing. The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, The Masked Singer, MasterChef Junior, and Bless the Harts will all be on the normal fall schedule as usual or already planned.

Now talking about the new shows coming later, there are a lot of them. They are Call Me Kat, The Great North, I Can See Your Voice, and Housebroken. Nothing else is really known regarding new shows at midseason, should more of them be learned later.

Returning shows that are coming later are the shows of Duncanville, The Resident, Prodigal Son, 9-1-1, 9-1-1: Lone Star, Hell’s Kitchen, Last Man Standing, and MasterChef. I do not know the fate of Lego Masters or other shows like that that have not had their fate revealed yet.

Shows that are officially over now on this network are Flirty Dancing, Almost Family, and the already mentioned shows of Deputy, Outmatched, and Empire. There are no other shows that I can think of right now that are over officially.

Ultimately, we’ll see what happens with this network’s schedule and if the plan is what they end up going with. I hope to have other themed posts ready soon, provided that I can still do this or other blogs in the future. I was having issues with the new blogger, but there could be solutions that won’t mean the sudden end of every blog that I have. We’ll see what happens in the end.
