Hollywood Insults the Holy Sacrament of Baptism

Since I need to rush a very quick post out today, I’ve decided that since I haven’t seen much good from a recurring bit of television, I might as well get a post done about it. You see, a godfather and baptism is part of TV very briefly and it is never portrayed well. Normally, instead of a great event and way of people connecting with family of theirs, it turns into a whole issue over whether or not there should even be a baptism.

One is rarely portrayed on the show itself with there just being a conflict as to whether it should happen or if there should be godparents relating to it. There is normally some pushback and the conflict is over with people always deciding that there should be a baptism, but the focus never even being on Christian elements of it or other important parts of it. It just seems to be a way of promoting false conflicts within a show while trying to excuse amoral characters by saying, at least there’s a baptism.
