Christmas Commercials 2015

In a long delayed blog post, I'm here to share with you the post of the Christmas commercials from last year as I do every year. Sorry that it took this long to post it. But I do have a lot of post prepared for the summer and hopefully you'll see a lot of them over time. I just need to write them all first. Now on to the actual post after the end of this sentence.

It’s possible that Christmas commercials have gotten more reasonable in this current year. I’m not sure how this happened, but I’m not going to complain. Regardless, I’m still pointing out the number of Christmas commercials before it was close enough to December for it to work. I might add a section regarding Easter commercials next year. That might be a good list. Of course, since this is a while before I’m able to catch up with all of them, I might have already started on Easter commercials for the next year. And I’m not sure why I’m doing this when nobody read the post from last year.

In 2012, the official count of Christmas commercials before October was 0. The official count before Halloween was 27. The official count before the Sunday after Thanksgiving was 200. In 2013, the official count of Christmas commercials before October was 5. The official count before Halloween was 30. The official count before the Sunday after Thanksgiving was 600. In 2014, the official count of Christmas commercials before October was 3. The official count before Halloween was 26. The official count before the Sunday after Thanksgiving was 700.

Christmas overrun for 2014-2015 is 28 commercials. Christmas overrun means that after Christmas and in a bit of January, you will see Christmas commercials of some type. I’m keeping track of them, although they will always be separate from the main list.

In 2015, the official count of Christmas commercials before October was 0. The official count before Halloween was 13. The official count before the Sunday after Thanksgiving was 530. Because of getting caught up on tapes that had these commercials, I wasn’t able to finish counting all of them until 3-24-2016. But I did and now I had to finalize this post for a published date probably in May.

Christmas overrun for 2015-2016 is 14 commercials. That’s half of the number from the previous time I counted. So it appears that we are not at the highest total ever for any of these commercials this year. 2013 has the highest count before October and before November. Meanwhile, the absolute highest number of commercials we have ever had was in 2014. I wonder what the count will be like in 2016.

Well, that’s all I can think of for this blog post. Sorry that it took so long to write and publish this. But I get too far behind on certain shows that I watch which is why I publish this typically as late as I do. That, and it seems that other time sensitive posts have to be published. One wonders how my blog can change with the upcoming cancellation of The Good Wife. I’ll explain more about that when I blog about the cancelled shows from this season. Hopefully somebody reads this post this year unlike the last time that I posted about the Christmas commercials.
