Here's a post that I'm publishing much later than I should be. Sorry that this is so late. But I'm finally posting the number of Back to School commercials from last year. I will probably still be behind on various other planned posts, but hopefully they won't be as late as this one is.
Well, once again, it comes
time for me to tell you of all the back to school commercials that aired this
year. I’ll post a reminder of last year’s numbers while I’m at it. Back to
school commercials are ridiculous. One is not even out of school for a whole
month and they are already trying to reel you back in with the thoughts of
another depressing school year ahead of you. Why do they start so early? Why do
they last so long? Who allows the sheer number of these commercials to air? In
2015, the back to school commercials started airing on July 7th.
Since it has been June when it has started in the past, I’m a bit relieved, but
not as much as I’d be if it were much later in the year.
In 2014, the official count of
back to school commercials before Independence Day is 1. The official count
before August is 48. The official count before September is 158. The official
total of the whole year is 170.
In 2015, the official count of
back to school commercials before Independence Day is 0. The official count
before August is 44. The official count before September is 125. The official
total of the whole year is 136.
Well, that’s pretty much all I
can think of regarding back to school commercials this year. Stay on the
lookout for future counts of different commercials. I’ve started working on the
number of Christmas commercials. Hopefully, I’ll finish that count in the near
future.
